As Senior Vice President of Engagement at Arizona Science Center, I lead the Informal Learning teams, overseeing dynamic educational programs that connect visitors with STEM education both inside the Center and through statewide initiatives.

Amy Armstrong-Heimsoth

Dr. Amy Armstrong-Heimsoth is the Department Chair & Associate Clinical Professor for the Department of Occupational Therapy at Northern Arizona University on the PBC. Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth has over 25 years clinical pediatric experience across all pediatric practice areas including: neonatal intensive care, intensive care, cardio-vascular intensive care, outpatient, early intervention, home health and school based practice. Her research interests include neurodevelopmental disabilities and impact on occupational performance, motor and sensory development, influences of trauma on development, children in and aging-out of the foster care system, and parent empowerment through education. Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth has been conducting research with this population for the past 5 years. Dr. Armstrong-Heimsoth was awarded Outstanding Occupational Therapist of the Year in 2019 by the Arizona Occupational Therapy Association.

Ana Gervassi is an immunologist and Principal Scientist at CALVIRI. Her research background includes work as a Senior Scientist with the Center for Infectious Diseases Research and as a Science Education Fellow. Her scientific experience informs interdisciplinary collaborations that bridge laboratory research and broader conceptual inquiry.

Dr. Algarin is an Assistant Professor in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation. As a gay, Latino scholar, his research interest focuses on stigma as a fundamental driver of HIV-related health inequities.

Ann Morton

Ann Morton’s practice uses traditional textile techniques as tools for aesthetic and social communication. Her work examines collective responsibility and participation, positioning viewers as bystanders, contributors, and witnesses. Advocacy plays a central role in her approach, with projects often incorporating community involvement through public interventions and collaborative making. After more than thirty five years working as a graphic designer, Morton earned her MFA from Arizona State University in 2012. She currently practices as an artist and educator at Mesa Community College and is represented by Lisa Sette Gallery.

Anna Fern-Buneo

Anna is board certified in pediatric physical therapy and is a PT clinical education site coordinator at Phoenix Children's Hospital. She is a Board-Certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist with over 30 years of clinical experience. Having worked at three different children's hospitals around the country, as well as Arizona Early Intervention (AzEIP), Dr. Anna has vast experience across the pediatric continuum of care. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor and the Director of Clinical Education in the physical therapy program at Northern Arizona University - Phoenix where she teaches the pediatric curriculum. She serves on the board of the AZPTA Pediatric Special Interest Group and teaches yoga every summer at Camp Patrick, a medically supported camp for children with spina bifida.
